Care
Proper care of your hand painted silks is very easy and will ensure many years of wear. Your Jasmine Sky Original is guaranteed against any undue fading or bleaching damage when washed with Eucalan soap which can be purchase at www.eucalan.com .
Washing Instructions
Hand wash separately in cold water with Eucalan soap following the directions on the bottle or the ones I send you with your garment. Hang to dry. Steam iron on silk setting when still slightly damp.
I recommend that you wash your silks as soon after wear as possible. This way any perspiration or dirt that is on them is easily removed. BEWARE, soaps have many chemicals in them these days that can harm your hand painted silks. Make sure you use Eucalan and you will not have any accidents.
Here are some recommendations for spills and stain problems
Immediate rinsing is recommended should you spill anything on your silks. Sometimes you can even go to the rest room and rinse the spillage right out. Your silk will dry very quickly.
A rinse with seltzer or tonic water works magic when red wine is spilt as long as you do it immediately.
The longer any stain is left in the harder it is to get out.
The more you rub to try and remove a stain, the more dye will be removed.
Blood stains can be removed easily with hydogen peroxid as long as it is done within a few hours of staining when it is still fresh. The peroxide breaks up the protein of the blood. Silk is a protein as well so you MUST wash the peroxide out right away after it has removed the blood.
If worse comes to worse and the stain you have if too visible, you have neglected it for too long and cannot remove it, then sometimes it can be camoflaged with some hand painting over it. This will make the garment wearable again. Please contact me should you need this service.
